What We Do

At the We Build Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, explore, and thrive, regardless of their family’s financial situation, race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual preference. We understand that for many children, the world can feel full of barriers, and their participation in extracurricular activities should not be one of them. Based in Maryland, we provide scholarships to ACA-accredited summer camps across Baltimore and Howard Counties, giving children from underserved communities opportunities to experience sports, STEM, the arts, and leadership programs that inspire confidence and joy.

The cost to send a child to after-school programs and summer camp for a week varies. We cover the full tuition, including lunch and any necessary supplies, through our scholarships so that children can focus on learning, making friends, and creating memories that last a lifetime. These opportunities are open to children in 3rd through 12th grade in Baltimore and Howard Counties who are experiencing financial hardship or housing displacement, ensuring that every child has the chance to grow, dream, and thrive.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible.  Your support brings hope and opens doors to transformative experiences, helping children gain confidence, discover their potential, and step into a future full of endless possibilities.
