About Our Employment Readiness Program
Quite possibly the biggest barrier to family economic stability is securing a good job with pay, benefits, and a future for career advancement. For many, the path to a successful career is paved with challenges. At the We Build Foundation, we offer a comprehensive and evolving job-readiness program designed to provide access to a wide range of supportive services. Our program helps clients overcome barriers to employment and successfully re-enter the workforce. We have been dedicated to serving housing unstable individuals for over five years, giving them the tools and confidence they need to secure and retain meaningful employment.

Who We Serve
Our Job Readiness Program serves low and no-income individuals with multiple barriers to employment, including:
- Individuals in transition from drug/alcohol treatment, housing instability, or incarceration
- Welfare recipients and Section 8 housing recipients
- Former foster youth and at-risk youth
- Veterans
- GED recipients

Our program is built around providing participants with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in the workforce. Core services offered are:

- Mock Interviews: Mock interview sessions to build confidence, improve communication skills and eye contact, and teach participants how to make a positive impression on potential employers.
- Professional Attire Guidance: Donations of clothing and work attire guidance to allow participants to present themselves professionally.

How You Can Assist
We invite you to join us and make a difference, whether through clothing donations, volunteerism, or financial donations. Your contribution allows us to continue our mission. We are always accepting donations. Your donations of professional attire, resume paper, or financial contributions directly support our mission. Please contact The We Build Foundation to make a donation.

Impact And Success Stories
Our efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. For instance, during our visit to a local homeless shelter, we were encouraged to a client from our program wearing donated professional attire. One young man expressed his gratitude, saying he was thrilled to have five ties to wear to work instead of just two. Another client shared, “Thank you. God uses others to take care of us.”
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have collected ten large bins overflowing with clothing, coats, ties, shoes, suits, dresses, jewelry, belts, resume paper and folders. The contributions included various types of business attire, shoes, and professional ties, all of which helped clients achieve a polished, professional appearance. Notably, several shoes were brand new and had never been worn.
We believe that these contributions, combined with our ongoing mock interview workshops and job readiness training, will continue to positively impact the lives of individuals striving to overcome barriers to employment. Our goal is to keep serving those in our community facing housing instability, marginalization, and other hardships and to reach even more people in greater numbers.
